CFTA – Czech Film and Television Academy Representative body of Czech film and television professionals Since 1995, as appointed by the Czech Ministry of Culture, CFTA elects a Czech contestant for AMPAS^® Awards and presents the Czech annual film awards Czech Lion. CFTA is the only subject in Czech Republic appointed to select feature films for different festivals and screenings where organizers demand such selection.

The Presidium of the CFTA administers the corporate management, control and general policies. Members of the Presidium are elected from the ranks of Academy.  From among themselves, members of the Presidium elect the members of the Board.
